Cornelius Marion Battey (1873 – 1927) was an American photographer who primarily shot photographic portraits of black Americans. His photographs of black leaders appeared on the cover of the NAACP’s magazine The Crisis and he later founded and headed up the photographic department at the Tuskegee Institute.
